The artists
Artists
4 days of festivities, more than 65 concerts and a host of artists, we present them to you below.
FRO WILD ZOMBIE
Modern-day archaeologists put the beginnings of Afro Wild Zombies at around the year two thousand and seven. It would appear that the group first got sidetracked in a hectic search for personnel, having welcomed as many as 17 musicians!
The band seems to have stabilised around 2011, with a much smaller line-up of 10 musicians: a wild female singer, sharp brass riffs, carried along by an irresistible rhythm section...
Since then, the passion has never waned. Fuelled by Afrobeat, they follow in the footsteps of Fela Kuti and weave their repertoire with a patchwork of jazz, funk and black music.
An in-depth study of the methods for bringing an audience into a state of extreme trance and humidity was carried out, with long sessions (sometimes lasting up to 3 hours) of practical work in situ. The result was increasingly electric shows.
Wiggle and sweat guaranteed!
AKOUSTIC SESSIONS
Experience an intimate, hushed lounge evening or a more rhythmic pop show with Akoustic Sessions, in duo or trio!
They'll be bringing you top-quality musical entertainment with a professional English-speaking singer of Dutch origin, a guitarist/chorist and a percussionist performing an Anglo-Saxon pop/folk/soul/jazzy/chill repertoire...
AROUND TIME
"A la vie" marks the definitive return of Au Tour Du Temps. It's a veritable ode to life, joy and celebration from these 5 friends. A cry from the heart and soul, inviting us to seize every moment with intensity, pleasure and daring. It's a positive and hopeful look to the future, a wise and affectionate nod to parenthood.
BESTIOLES

BLACK SHIP
A repertoire smelling of the atmosphere and ambience of ports and pubs, tinged with their own compositions and covers of songs by the Pogues, the Dropkick Murphys and the Rumjacks, as well as revisited traditional tunes that get the audience moving and involved in the festive atmosphere. CAVAL TRAD
Caval'Trad is a group of 7 musicians from the Dunkirk region, based in Grande-Synthe.
Their repertoire is part of the cultural and musical heritage of our region, with other melodies borrowed from other regions of France and European countries.
Under the expert fingers of Elodie (chromatic accordion), Joël (clarinet, guitar and vocals), Laurent (bagpipes, clarinet, chalumine and vocals), Olivier (acoustic guitar, percussion and vocals), Axel (recorder and transverse flute), Loïc (violin) and Malo (percussion), their voices blend energetically.
The tunes follow on from each other: one simple, for everyone, for a laugh, the other more elaborate for experienced dancers, highlighting the choreographic richness of our culture. Bourrée waltzes, polkas, mazurkas, Scottishs, Gigues, Circassian circles and other unusual dances... everything is covered.
All their dances are explained to beginners. The fear of doing it wrong will quickly disappear in the laughter and good humour of the dancers.
Caval'Trad also performs, with a slightly different repertoire, at maritime festivals (Calais, Boulogne, Ostende, Etaples, Le Portel, Sangatte, etc).
CHIEN DE MER
Chiens d'mer (Dogs of the Sea) was born in the dampness of a summer evening on the zinc of a roadstead in the town of Jean Bart, in the wisps of smoke and alcohol vapours... Symbolically named in honour of those shipwrecked by the sea, they carry in their wake the dark world of seafarers and gentlemen of fortune.

Collective ELLES
TOUTES VOIX DEHORS is a creation dedicated to the Tall Ship Race 2025. A participatory singing performance to be seen and heard on the event site, one or more times, depending on the commission. The initial learning process will involve sending scores, lyrics and audio tutorials by email. Ensemble rehearsals will be organised in June. The choir will be accompanied by acoustic guitars and percussion. The performance can take place in the public space or on a stage. The aim is to bring together around 200 voices for this event.

GABE
The four musicians of GABE invite you on a musical journey to discover ectofolk, a bewitching and ethereal acoustic universé. Inspired by early folksongs and the great names of the Folk Revival, GABE's compositions transport you into a timeless atmosphere that is both sober and captivating.
Founded in 2020, the group first explored the folk repertoire of the 60s and 70s (Bob Dylan, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Neil Young...), before going back to the roots of the genre (old time, Appalachian music, murder ballads...). In 2023, GABE took things a step further by starting to write its own original material.
GABE is a subtle harmony of acoustic guitars, dobro, double bass, and banjo, all at the service of haunting vocals and enveloping backing vocals. Their pared-down stylé creates a hushed, almost hypnotic atmosphere, transporting the audience into a warm, authentic world.

JULIE FOSSAERT
Julie Fossaert creates dreamlike material. She assembles acoustic ropes and vocal cords into a patient pattern. It's also deceptive stuff, because behind the delicacy and a kind of shaky balance, there's strength, clear ideas, sound work and a lot less chance than you might think at first glance. Music like water. Come for a swim
JEAN ZIBART

If, between songs, you're singing along and tapping your feet, it's because they've achieved the perfect alchemy between heady melodies and infectious rhythms. For 25 years, Les Mauvaises Langues have been perpetuating the tradition of intelligent French chanson, where musical energy serves the literary quality of their lyrics. They like to take a sometimes tender, sometimes sharp look at our lives and our emotions, far from the formats and calibrations of the moment.

LOCKINS
Lockins is the French Celtic neo-folk band. This group subtly navigates between folk and tradition, embracing inspirations, melodies and rhythms from elsewhere as it travels. At the helm are three musicians whose friendship and passion for this spellbinding music led them to leave port for this ambitious project.
Romain, Pierre-Alexis and Elliott have their musical roots in a variety of genres. But it's in the purity of Irish ballads, frenzied jigs and twirling reels that they've chosen to drop anchor. Lockins was born in the thick atmosphere of drunken pubs, where laughter and song make you forget everything and leave only room for joy.
But it's on the big stages of festivals, those giant arenas, that Lockins and his musicians best defend their music and leave their mark on the minds and hearts of audiences.
Lockins is all about incredible energy, funny stories and sublime ballads whose beauty brings tears to the eyes and tugs at the heartstrings.
The group takes its name from an Irish tradition known as Lock in, where a public house is transformed into a private venue, defying the ban on the sale of alcohol and allowing the party to go on until the early hours of the morning.
MARAUDERS
Noémie (singer) and Antoine (guitarist) met at EF2M in Tourcoing, and went on to form their duo Marauders, based on a repertoire of songs from all styles and eras that they enjoy listening to and playing. Their originality lies in the diversity of their instrumentation. As well as singing, Noémie accompanies on acoustic guitar and percussion, while Antoine uses a looper system in addition to his acoustic and electric guitars, enabling him to record parts of songs and play back chords, solos, bass or percussion over them, enriching their music. Their influences are diverse, from James Blunt to AC/DC, Chuck Berry to Disney, Ed Sheeran to Francis Cabrel; when hard rock meets musical comedy, when distortion meets emotion, the Marauders duo emerge.

They have sung at numerous fishing festivals along the Flemish coast, including Ostend at Anchor, Zeebrugge, Wenduine, Oostduinkerke, Nieuwpoort, as well as the Brussels harbour festivals, Sail Antwerp and the Tall Ships Race, the Ghent festivals and, of course, in their own town of Blankenberge.
