How to get here

To make it easier for you to come to Dunkerque for the Voiles de Légende event, here is some practical information on how to get there and the transport available.
GETTING TO DUNKIRK
🚆 By train
- From Paris: approximately 2 hours via TGV to Lille, then TER to Dunkirk.
- From Lille: 35 minutes by direct TER.
- From Brussels: TGV Brussels-Lille, then TER Lille-Dunkerque (1h30 in total).
- From London: Eurostar London-Lille, then TER to Dunkerque (approx. 3h30).
- Dunkerque SNCF station: located 15 minutes' walk from the port (5 minutes' walk from the event area).
🚗 By car
- From Paris: 3 hours' drive via the A1 and A25 motorways.
- From Lille: 1h15 via the A25.
- From Brussels: 1h45 via the E40.
- From Calais: 30 minutes via the A16.
- Parking:
- Park-and-ride facilities will be available with free shuttle buses.
- Specific parking zones for visitors, traders and participants.
🚌 By bus
- From Lille: FlixBus and BlaBlaCar Bus lines (journey time around 1 hour).
- From Paris or Brussels: several daily connections with long-distance bus companies.
- Local public transport: the DK'BUS network is completely FREE in Dunkerque.
✈️ By plane
- Lille-Lesquin airport (1h15 from Dunkerque).
- Brussels airport (1h45 away).
- Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport (about 3 hours by car/train).
⛴️ By ferry
- From the UK: arrive at Calais, then 30 minutes by car or train to Dunkirk.
- From England, Belgium or the Netherlands: sea links available via neighbouring ports.
Getting around Dunkerque during the event
🚍 Free public transport
- The DK'BUS network is 100% free and serves all the key areas of the city.
- Special shuttles will be set up between the park-and-ride facilities and the port.
🚲 Bikes and scooters
- Bike hire (List of bike hire companies on the dk balades app).
- Cycle paths to the event site.
🚶♂️ Access on foot
- The port and quays are within easy walking distance of the town centre and SNCF station.
