The Wylde Swan is a sailing yacht like no other. Her hull was built in 1920 in Germany as a steam tug for herring boats in the Baltic Sea. It was not until much later, in 2010, that she was converted in the Netherlands into a fast sail training yacht, with an elegant, modern design, yet retaining a classic charm.

Thanks to her slender rig and hydrodynamic lines, the Wylde Swan is one of the fastest tall ships in the world. She is regularly entered in Tall Ships Races and welcomes young people on board for maritime, scientific and cultural education programmes.

The ship embodies the spirit of Dutch maritime tradition combined with a contemporary approach to navigation and training at sea.
