The Prolific is a modern ketch originally designed in Norway as a charter vessel for Arctic waters. She was bought and completely refitted by the British organisation Ocean Youth Trust South, which put her into service in 2016 as a sail training vessel.

With her solid construction and modern equipment, she offers young people aged between 12 and 25 a unique experience of ocean sailing, focusing on learning, teamwork and self-confidence. She can take up to 18 young people on board for educational crossings around the UK and Europe.

The Prolific is an active ambassador for education at sea and regularly takes part in races, maritime rallies and social programmes.
