"Christian Radich is one of Norway's best-known sailing ambassadors. The ship was used as a sail training vessel from its beginnings in 1937 until 1998. Over the last decade, Christian Radich has served as a training ship for the Norwegian Navy, and she is still a training ship for navy students in winter. During the summer, the ship offers trips for school classes, arrangements for companies and private parties, and participates in tall ship races.
With 1,360 m2 of sail, almost 9,000 metres of rope and a main mast 37.7 metres high, "Christian Radich" has proved hard to beat in regattas. The famous bridge is an attractive arena for entertainment in the harbour.
